It's actually a fairly popular hobby. Try a google image search for "rock balancing" and you'll see some amazing stuff.

Lainey,
note the human like form?
those stacks are called Inukshuks.
someday I'm going to build one in my front yard about 8 or 10 feet tall.

They were used as hunting aids by the Inuit who would place them along a ridge to help guide game animals into traps.
They also indicate guidance and direction.
I envision putting it along the edge of the lawn just going into the woods perhaps pointing north.

The reason for my Carpal Tunnel surgery this morning
I'm looking forward to an amazing season this year, devoid of numbness in the fingers
It may look like a crotch rocket, but it is not, it's a sport touring bike, 800cc, V4, yup, a V4 baby, same engine configuration as the MotoGP race bikes, that's the Formula One of bikes.
This bad boy cranks out more hp than my CRX-Si, and it is comfortable because the seating position is much more upright than it looks like it would be.
Ain't nothing like shifting out of 1st gear at 70-mph at 12,000 rpms, grabbing 2nd, and fighting to keep the front end down on the ground...
I like my AP1, but I love my VFR800Fi

I have about 60k riding miles under my butt
I love it because it is like theropy
We all know modern life/work is way too damnn hectic and stressful
Riding requires a single minded focus just to survive, and I find that focused thought to be so relaxing
When I'm at work my bdain is working on a dozen things at the same time, and that is stress
On the bike theee is but one thought, riding
Simplicity, or purity of thought is bliss, and that's why I ride, pluss of coudse that whole rush of 0 to 100 in about 6 seconds...

Mom's 90th today. She looks great and is a very healthy 90 year old. Party next week, but we wanted to do something with her today. We took her to lunch with our grandchildren.
A free dessert at lunch for the birthday girl!
With Ryan
With Ally
With Rick and me
Another cake
Fun with a tiara
Fun with cake frosting!
One of my favorite pics of her posted recently in the "Shoot the Breeze" thread.
