Jerry, Love those shots man!!! Especially the one when it's time to get out. I am totally amazed something can be that cool and be so close to LA. I've only been in that area south once, in SD, but since we flew in I did not get to see near enough. Next year I've got to fly out to the west coast and rent a car for a few weeks.

Of everything we played with in the photography class, macro was the most fun. I have a nice macro lens that I love playing with. I can't wait until we have some flowers or bugs to shoot.
Maybe by then I might post something.

Here is a free alternative to Photoshop that the photo geeks might want to try.

I use Adobe Elements 11 and absolutely love it. I have seen it as cheap as $59.00 and worth every penny!

The ocean is only 20-30 minutes away from my apt, and it's relatively easy to find deserted stretches of coastline to explore, beyond the popular tourist areas, if you're willing to hike a little. However, it's important to check the ocean tide charts before hiking too far. You don't want to get pinned to the face of a cliff, or caught in a sea cave at high tide! Life is an adventure, and that's my main "job" now that I'm retired!
