You bet I am proud, Gary and Dave. I feel intense love, too, when I see my son so proud of himself. My heart feels like it's swelling. I just keep thinking back to the days when Kyle was a thumb sucking, blankie-monster, who I had to keep out of kindergarten until he was 6 years-old because he was immature. He even says he knows he was a PITA as a kid and had thanked me for having so much patience with him. I'm proud, alright.

^^ I was going to say the same thing, Patty. Just heard a comedian say "why do we congratulate people when they have a baby? Why don't we wait to find out how they turn out?" You are due a big congratulations.
Also glad to read your X is speaking to you and making things easier on everyone. He looks like a friend of mine who is Armenian. Any chance Andy is?

I like Andy's girlfriend. She worked for him when we were married and I tutored her son in math. I just had to wait until Andy was okay seeing me, again, for us to have get togethers. I'm not holding my breath, though. He's pulled the rug out from under me in other ways, plenty of times in the last 7 years. I hope he means it and sticks to it.

^^ It seems to me that if both parents really love their kids they will make the effort to be civil (only experience is with my own son who seems to get along better and communicate better with his ex than when they were married).

I agree, Dave. Kyle was a senior in high school and Christa had already moved out and was attending college so at least they weren't young kids.

Congrats Patty but I'm confused. You are happy that Kyle and Jennifer are in the hood??
