What a nice find and pleasing photos, Lainey. Did you photoshop it a bit on the right by the side of the barn?

This is when the obliging pro/cat 1’s dropped me and I peddled by myself after 15 miles on an 87 mile ride.

My wife believes that I could have done better if my ears were trimmed beforehand (less aero drag (but great they’re great with a tail wind)). I’m 67 years old in the photo.

I love cycling.

It's nice to see what you look like, Gary. You're in great shape. Next time, a rear end shot would be appreciated. Bikes do make buns of steel.

Patty, I didn't photo shop, but I see what you see! It looks like I cloned something on the right, but it's the edge of the roof of the barn or something...weird.

^My front door with a clean mat. No bird nest this year.

^Nope. Nothing.

^Wait a minute.

^5-23-2014. Ah, no wonder a bird flew at Jerry when he came to the door.

^5-28-2014. In five days the little ones are getting feathers. They change so quickly.

^5-24-2014. I love heron sculptures and always seek them out in garden stores. This pair was for sale on a local neighborhood group on Facebook, for $20. They would be at least $80 each if I could find some. I gave the woman $30. I'm very happy with them.

^5-24-2014.

^5-26-2014. So what? A back yard corner. But wait, I heard a loud clickity clackity. That can only mean one thing. A roadrunner is nearby! Where is he?

^5-25-2014. It's a young one I'd guess since the belly feathers are so fluffy, still.

^5-25-2014.

^5-25-2014. Bye-bye, birdie.

Got invited to a reception last night at Make A Wish NJ. The NJ office is about 20 minutes from Englishtown Raceway, where the SummerNationals are this weekend. Don Schumacher Racing was there with several of the drivers and teams. Terri Chandler, who individually sponsors the MAW Funny Car was there as well.

I'll be a gust of DSR Racing on Saturday. Hope to get some pics. Here's one from last night:

Patty, I really like your herons. I occasionally see a live one flying down the stream behind our house. Oh, and I see you still have your windmill!

Do you know what kind of birds are in the front door nest?

Gene, I believe it's a house finch nest. I have lots of them and the males are a pretty red right now.

I see herons on my ElliptiGO rides. Some are white Egrets standing in Aliso Creek and other times I see Great Blue Herons walking in the fields along the Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness park, where I've also seen bobcats and coyotes.

That windmill has grown on me. Since it is cemented in, I didn't remove it and now I love to see it spin in the wind.
