Photo taken by Victory Jon of HighwayPhotos.net. Finally... one where my smile is not obscured by the A-pillar, the mirror, or my own cap. So I bought it.

High res version here: https://picasaweb.google.com/1099073...31727711243794

More great pics of many of the very cool vehicles that drive Mulholland Highway, including some of Jay Leno's rides, can be found here: http://highwayphotos.smugmug.com/

Cool pic! Looks like a nice top down day. None of that on tap for us this weekend. Too cool, and cloudy. Hope I don't need to pack layers of clothing for the trip to PA for spring fling.

It was, Barbara. As Sharon and I walked from one end of her house to the other, it just sat there and watched us, always following us with its eyes. She originally saw it walk right by her glass slider before sitting down under the pergola in the farther back part of her yard.

He's been shooting in various locations along Mulholland ever since the big fire on Angeles Crest a few years back. I first noticed the guy in 2009, I think. He was sort of working with RockStore Photos for awhile but I got the impression that didn't end as smoothly as he would have liked. Can't recall all of the details though so I may be completely off-base there.

Anyway, I've always waved and gotten a wave back from him.

Now the RockStore Photos guy... I dunno. I emailed him and sent an FB message, but didn't hear back. When I'm out in the Lotus, he snaps my pic. When I'm in the S2000, he noticeably does not. So I dunno. Short of making a personal visit (and I wouldn't want to get in his way while he's working), I'm not sure how to get in touch and let him know I would happily buy a pic if he could just get one where I'm not hidden by the mirror of the A pillar or something like that.

What a gorgeous animal! I don't know much about what makes a good photograph of a horse, but this guy seemed to pose for me a bit.

Beautiful! The horse and the pics. We were over at Ft Myer today and I saw some of the caisson horses (the black ones that pull the caisson at Arlington Cemetery funerals) in the paddock. So I pet a couple of them. They are beautiful, too.

Thanks, Deb. We were out cruising back roads in RI when we saw the horse. Had to stop for a pic.

S2kray’s cycling experience brought this photo to mind. I have very few pictures of myself because of camera breakage issues, but here’s one of me two years ago after a ghoulish ride from Laramie, WY to Loveland, CO fighting 30MPH headwinds nearly the entire distance. This is when the obliging pro/cat 1’s dropped me and I peddled by myself after 15 miles on an 87 mile ride.

My wife believes that I could have done better if my ears were trimmed beforehand (less aero drag (but great they’re great with a tail wind)). I’m 67 years old in the photo.

I love cycling.
