That was the first of three deluges. I now have a leak in the roof and a bucket in the entry. Roofer should be here at 8:30 am.

Patty, I'm just glad that your windmill is surviving the storm! Sorry about the roof leak, though. I am amazed that you got a roofer out so soon.
Rain and wind like you are experiencing is old hat to us folks back east. We'll be thinking of you when you are basking in the warm sun when we are still shoveling frozen precip!

It's amazing that those things would be blown over by the wind, since they are protected out there by the glass enclosure. That wind must have been strong! Sorry about the roof leak.

The roofer came out and is another Honda fan. He gave me a price of $1,850 to fix the leaking area or $9,400 to pull up the old concrete roof tiles, replace the felt with two new layers and put the tiles back down. I'm getting two more bids from highly rated Angie's List roofers, before I decide what to do. The good news is, after the wind driven rain yesterday, the deluge last night didn't cause the leak to drip anymore. I think the wind had a lot to do with it, but I still need to pay attention and get it fixed.

I headed out late Saturday afternoon with my . My hairdresser mentioned an old tree, in a field in the town next to mine, that she said she'd like a picture of, before it was gone. I thought I knew which tree she meant, but once I headed out, I wasn't so sure. I took a couple pics of naked, old trees just for the heck of it.
While on the back road, I parked my car in a town library lot to take a pic of something on the side of the road, and I found this statue.
I thought it was really neat and it "spoke" to me for whatever reason. Cute kids, reading a book. It was part of an outside reading area donated to the town in memory of someone whose son has passed away.
Had to grab a couple shots of it.
It might be nice to take a pic again where there are leaves on the trees, or in the fall when there might be some color to the leaves.
