Thanks for the info, Patty. Friends want to do Vegas. I like Vegas, but not sure I'm ready to go again when there is so much else to see.
If I had to go to Vegas, I would go to Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon, too. They are both within two hours of Vegas. I'm not a Vegas fan.
Yep! And, Grand Canyon isn't too far away either.

And don't forget Death Valley, which is also nearby.

We did the Hoover Dam the first time in Vegas. With apologies to the engineers, we could have skipped that side trip. We did enjoy Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire (Two different places, right)? We also went to Zion on one Vegas trip and the Grand Canyon during our trip to Sedona.

We do like Vegas, another side trip to Zion would be good as we didn't spend much time there, just not sure how I want to spend our vaca $.

Lainey, what impresses you when you're on vacation?

Patty, generally speaking I like quiet, low key vacations. Nice country roads, nice scenery, ops, but I don't mind if there is some kind of life in the area after dinner.

Our vacation to Sedona AZ in 2006 was a good one. Pink Jeep Tour, helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon etc. Checking out the towns like Jerome and Prescott AZ was cool. Since then we've done all road trips, which have been good too, especially since I'm more into these days.

I don't like to switch hotels every couple of days. I prefer to stay in one place and go in various directions to things of interest from there.

I need to research and plan, and I've had stuff going on which has occupied my time. I had some good suggestions in the thread I started. Need to check them out.

From today. Local beach area, well the back side of the beach. We had 10-12" of snow, I'd say the beach only had about 6"

^Very nice, Lainey, though it really looks cold on that beach!

Here are some pics for LB that I took at the Philly Auto Show, just to prove I still like the cheap bastard:

Lainey, I like #3, it evokes a feeling as it pulls you eye in.
