Sounds like fun, Jim. Yes, the winds were blowing. We had a lot of drifting. Bare spots in some areas and a foot or more in others.

Official snow fall was reported at 9.5". I thought we had more.

Lookie what I just copied off of Facebook...

Roseanne, was this taken on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at your end of the month drive? Did you wear that outfit on purpose, knowing you might very likely run into Jay?

It’s not the first time. Murph has that certain je ne sais quoi that attracts celebrities and automotive enthusiasts. I’m a bit envious.

It really is an amazingly well done shot and you can even make out that there are a few rain drops falling. Alan takes such wonderful pics. He can make any subject matter look good. Anyway, that was yesterday (Sunday). The EOM drive is no more, but a few people I know got together for a drive and it was nice. Lots of police activity in the canyons, but other drivers and riders were good about warning us so we flashed LE a speed limit compliant smile every time we stumbled across their traps.

At one point I found myself kind of happy to be stuck behind a slower moving Prius. Definitely kept us legal.

EDIT: Oh, and regarding the wardrobe, I decided to dress in layers because I knew there morning would be cool but figured the afternoon might get toasty like Saturday did. So after putting on the light blue t-shirt I reached in the closet for a loose fitting button up and the choice was between a heavy white cotton or the denim. The white shows dirt too easy so I grabbed the denim, and the fleeting thought that I'm starting to look like Jay Leno actually entered my mind for a split second. Guess I have to let my hair go full on white.
