An image that was unattainable before will now be attainable. Whether its the sensor, high ISO capabilities, more MP (so closer cropping without degradation), etc... you'll have more options available to you.

Keep it up. The bokeh with that macro lens is very nice. Even the person who sits behind me just commented on it looking across the room.
Thanks so much, Gary. Exactly what I wanted to be able to do. I've read that with new sensors, the high ISO no longer causes so much "noise" I'd have to look back but this pic had an ISO of 5000+. It was getting dark out. In the past, I could only get to 1600. The macro is a nice lens. Canon 100M macro F2.8L. It still challenges me.

I do have to remember not too zoom too close to allow room from cropping when printing.......

I did think of going with a 80D which would be a bit heavier, more rugged, but it's still crop sensor and I believe it may have the same sensor in the one I bought. Neither my budget, or my skill level is ready for a full frame...Plenty to learn with what I have...next up, more lenses.

I don't know, they still look like flowers to me.

Can't help myself. Flowers are just a great subject for me. They don't wiggle around like a kid (as long as it's not windy), they don't have forced smiles, like kids and people, and most important, they don't say, "oh please don't take my picture, I hate pictures."

However, to change things up a bit, I did a bit more butterfly chasing at a local park so we have a flower pic WITH a butterfly for you, Dave.

Yesterday, I headed downtown to the cobble stoned streets. My granddaughter came along and she used my first Canon Rebel. She did a pretty good job with the limited knowledge I am able to share. I'd love for her to take an interest in the hobby and I don't want to teach her the bad habits I have probably developed (pun intended)

Here's one of her pics. The cobble stoned street. It's not easy to grab a pic of these streets without cars parked on it.

And here's one of a squirrel that I took. He/she was really small. Not sure if it was a juvenile. He/she didn't seem to have much fear of us and really made us laugh with his/her antics.

Love the squirrel photo! Finally, got some pink belladonna flowers. Just a few, at odd time of year.

Thanks...love your flowers, and the depth of field in the photo. Those are in the lily family? Are they very fragrant?

Thanks! Yes, they are lilies. Very fragrant. Favorites of hummingbirds.
