We’ve returned from a wet and soggy vacation from Hawaii (the Big Island). The sun broke through the heavy overcast and rain for a total of 8 hours during our stay. For days we walked and hiked in the rain becoming thoroughly drenched and enjoying every minute of it. Thought I would share a couple (well…five) of the overcast and rainy photos.
When you’re in Hawaii it’s all about beaches, sunsets, volcanoes and viewing sea life…
A view of the Pololu shoreline which required hiking a steep and very slippery trail.
A river flowing into the Pacific in the Pololu Valley.
White sand beach and lava rock formations at Kahalu’u Park.
The only sunset during our trip.
An image taken from the floor of the Kilauea lki caldera.

Love the sunset, Gary. Thanks for sharing. So sorry to hear your vacation was mostly rain. I hate it when that happens.

Very nice photographs, everyone.
And Gary, a bad March day in Hawaii is better than a good March day in New England. At least this year.

Beautiful!
The Bluebonnets and Indianan Paint Brushes will be blooming across southern fields in Texas soon. Also the the Highway Department re-sows hundreds of miles of highway roadsides and esplanades with seeds every year. Spring begins in a few days.

my fellow night owl! I should see the red Indian Paint Brush up at Kennedy and I saw one on my last ElliptiGO ride in Santiago Canyon but I'm not familiar with Bluebonnets.
