I believe that’s a Florida Cooter turtle, they range in size from 9 -13 in. in length when mature.

Good eyes. That's a male Florida Cooter. You can tell by the big tail. He's over 12 years old. His names Turt. His shells around 9". Females get lots bigger.

Named the gator Patty. Patty's going to a friend of mines moat on the Imperial River as soon as I net her and give her a ride over there.

PS I'm betting this is the first gator to ride shotgun in an S2000.

Took my camera outside near midnight under the light of a 3/4 moon and shot this photo. Its objects could be in sharper focus but thought I would show the capabilities of a digital camera -- they're amazing.

I received a package in the mail today. Wow, thanks for the Christmas present, Bill!! Very nice. I'm happy to help you get it out of your office! Maybe the Broncos will repeat this year.


The playoffs loom. In the AFC, the Broncos' Peyton Manning is struggling, but they keep winning. The Patriots' Brady is performing miracles, and I don't see anyone else standing in New England's way to the Super Bowl except maybe the Colts. The Seahawks in the NFC are gathering steam again... Should be interesting.

Sorry to miss the Cookie Party this year. That's a special party on my list. We'll need some pics.
