With the use of the iphones for maybe the next time I want some new toys for that big girl camera I lug around, I'll get the toys cheap. The majority of people aren't using cameras these days.

Hey Lainey, was going through my photos looking for the hummingbird and realized I lost a lot of files the last time my computer died...I have them stored here and there, but really need to track more down! Here is a gator at the same location as the other guy, and about the same size, a young one near 4 feet or so. Doesn't he have a nice smile?

And this is the really special little guy that was here 2 winters ago. It is a young male Rufous Hummingbird. He stayed in our yard and ate for about 2 weeks, then went on his way. He was spectacular when the sun was right and he flashed his shiny throat. I tried not to bother him, much...he did get used to me watching him. They live on the west coast, so seeing him here was a real special event. I planted a new hummingbird garden just in hopes he would return sometime. But our Ruby-throats and other birds and butterflies enjoy it, too.

Here's my gator pic. He resides in SC. He looks pretty content, doesn't he?

I get occasional email "specials" from B&H Photo, and this one just caught my eye.

Could someone please explain to me why you would need to spend $31 grand on a camera???

I don't think Scoots spent nearly this much on his Canon Nikon.

You pay for what you get and when it’s released, Gene. The Mamiya Leaf Credo 50 has an 80 mp medium format CMOS sensor; it could provide about four times the amount of detail of a high quality DSLR. It also has a lens that with an extremely high dynamic range, plus other features. It’s probably meant more for a studio environment or a photo shoot where action shots are not required. It’s intended for the pros or earnest amateurs only.
