Gotta break it in, first, Patricia, but I should hit 600 miles tomorrow on the clear bra quest trip to Charlotte. If the weather co-operates, then I think I will do exactly as you suggest on Sunday
I feel really lucky to get to break in one of these beasts again

Trip was great, and the clear bra looks sensational; I'm a lot less nervous about the rock chips now. I like the clear bra so much I am going to get one for the Fit as well.
Replaced the OEM RE050s with RE01Rs, which is what I had on my other 2 Ss. I find the RE01R significantly superior to the RE050 in just about any performance caterogy you can name, and they are quieter and better riding IMO. I got a boatload of them during the Tire Rack blowout sale a few months back, so might as well use them!
About 750 miles on the car now, and 250 on the tires, so not really pushing it, yet, but at least I can Vtec! Did a 40-mile twisty route when I got home, and WOW! One does forget how fun these cars can be when used for their intended purpose and not force-fit into some other purpose.
Now, to get the rest of my stuff installed - new shift knob, radio, floor mats, Modifry stuff, etc. On Friday, I'm allowed to wash it (clear bra should be thoroughly set by then), and a number of coats of Zaino are in order.

Hey Dave, what have you been told about how to take care of the clear bra? My guy told me to use Plexus.
The 3M material has real clearcoat on it, just like our paint, so I'm betting that advice will work just fine.
Zaino has a new swirl remover that can be applied by hand and is supposed to be the bee's knees. I've not had reason to try it yet - Fusion PC is its name, IIRC.
Obviously this advice is for the 3M stuff only; there are lots of materials out there.

Whereas I appreciate that some of you really like the clear bra, I no longer stress over the occasional rock chip. I just figure I'll enjoy the car, worry no longer over the occasional chip or two and keep on going. Perhaps someday in the distant future it will bother me, but it bothers me none at all at present.
