Now will you put down the cell phone?
The link between cancer and cell phone use has been out there for a while. Maybe this will help the frequent yappers put down the cell phone from time to time...maybe while out having dinner with others?
Radiation from cell phones can possibly cause cancer, according to the World Health Organization. The agency now lists mobile phone use in the same "carcinogenic hazard" category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform.
Before its announcement Tuesday, WHO had assured consumers that no adverse health effects had been established.
A team of 31 scientists from 14 countries, including the United States, made the decision after reviewing peer-reviewed studies on cell phone safety. The team found enough evidence to categorize personal exposure as "possibly carcinogenic to humans."

I didn't read the whole article that you referenced, but I have read similar articles recently.
I am sure that I am safe from cancer caused by cell phones, as I think that I can count on one hand the number of cell phone calls that I have made and received. Well, okay, maybe I might have to use two hands.

I'm not too concerned. My cell phone is generally buried in my purse.

In February, a study by researchers at the National Institutes of Health,
revealed radiation emitted after just 50 minutes on a mobile phone increases
the activity in brain cells. The effects of brain activity being artificially stimulated
are still unknown.

ok so being a geek and a scientist.
did they baseline the brain activity level against someone who has just had a conversation for 50 minutes on a regular phone?
did they double blind the statistics so no one making the measurements knew if the cell phone was actually transmitting?
yes i'm cynical.
