I have been fascinated with heights ever since doing the "confidence course" in Army basic training. Unless research has changed over the years the military considers thirty-four feet to be the "height of fear". In other words, if one is not afraid of being on a open platform at that height nothing above that height matters, (in theory).

The psychological aspect of height as fascinated me ever since.

Over the years I have had this discussion with friends and have been fascinated by the answers. The discussion goes like this: I have a two part wager for one thousand dollars. But, you have to agree to both parts of the bet. First, would you stand on top of a bar stool for a thousand dollars? Virtually everyone agrees to that part and would take the bet. The second part is if that same bar stool was on top of a 100' pole? Assuming that the winds are calm would you do it? Virtually no one takes that bet.

BTW, in case the guys in the videos see this post. It does NOT constitute an offer for a wager to them or anyone else.
