Still sort of pulling for Memphis because they are not that far from here and because they beat MS State in the second round. Sort of rooting for the team that beat my team so I can at least have the consolation that we were knocked out by the eventual tournament champ.

BTW, Memphis won their other tournament games by 24, 18, 18, and 15. They beat my dogs by 3. So much for seeding.

Memphis has a great coach and fantastic guards. They just don't turn the ball over. And they hustle on defense. I think Kansas will give them trouble but they will win in the end: Memphis 72, Kansas 68

Two things became clear after the final four.

Three teams have great offense = UNC - Kansas - Memphis.

Three teams have great defenses - Kansas - Memphis - UCLA

The two teams that didn't have both didn't win.

Well, THAT was a pretty good game. Gotta feel for the Tigers. They didn't play their best game (credit that great Kansas defense) and still almost put it away. But what a play to send it to ot.

Wow, what a championship game. Memphis had it wrapped up then missed 3 free throws and had the foul on their best defensive player. Give credit to Kansas for fighting back. Once it went to OT it was over for Memphis.

I missed it because I had to go to bed before it was over. The +1 stayed up, though, and said it was great. Too bad for Memphis. Seems they blew it on foul shots at the end.

Woow..... what a great game! I honestly can not remember the last time I watched an entire B-Ball game but I did last night. I was rooting for Kansas only because they were the underdog from what I could gather. Talk about pulling one out - that last second 3 pointer was too much.
