I have an old (high school) and dear friend who has a summer home in Scituate. You can see it in the video from Weather.com that I've linked below. The reporter, Cantore, says that he's on Turner Street. He's not. He's on Rebecca Road at the intersection of Lighthouse just north of the Scituate Light House. The dark red house with the white door on the side that's most of the background for the video is my friend's house. We sat on his deck on the other side of the house just this September having a beer before going out to eat. He must be in the house because the black Chevy truck parked on the street is his truck. This is the second time this year he's been hit but the old house keep fending it off.

BTW, the homes way up the road from the reporter are on Turner.

Nasty storm, Our state of Delaware got high winds coastal flooding and heavy beach erosion. Glad we are in Naples and away from this mess. I hope your friend fares well.

Power still out. Cable out. Generator which was purchased about four or five years ago had never been used until now. It is keeping us warm and food and beer cold. We are OK. Power restoration won't be quick

About 5 minutes after my previous post, we lost power. the good news is 550 customers lost power in our particular outage. It will be a priority to get back on. The better news is it's close to 40° so freezing isn't an immediate issue.

It's was odd here. We had rain all morning, then about 3 hours of snow, then rain all night. Howling winds here, but overall, nothing compared to what I saw on the news. They are projecting 40-50mph winds here all day.

Good Luck and stay safe to everyone whose impacted in any way.

Forgive my lack of photography skills:

This is looking away from the house.

This is from the bedroom window. You can see the smaller third tree under the two big ones that came down at a different angle:

Here is a long shot of the trees taken from the stumps. They measured over 100 feet in length. You can see they crushed a section of the six foot chain link fence:

Ground view showing distance to the house. What looks like a skinny tree is the remaining part of one of the trees that fell. The pictures in the prior post show the opposite side:
