Default This Nor'easter is smashing Massachusetts

Looks like the entire eastern end of Massachusetts is getting smashed. Trees, phone poles and light poles coming down all around the state. We got back home just in time, I guess. But two very big trees just came down in my backyard. Thank God they fell away from the house, but there are plenty more where they came from and this storm isn't over by a long shot.

we're just getting into the dry slot of the storm and the winds are howling.
my neighbors "across the street" are at the top of vaughn hill which is the highest point between boston and mt wachusett at about 700 feet or so.
it must be quite the experience up there.

Winds are howling 60-85 mph gusts. Power went out about two hours ago. We've got a small generator for lights and heat, and cable has not gone out, so we have TV for now. The winds are supposed to be hurricane force until 11:00 P.M. The coastline is getting battered.

I'm about an hour North of Philly and the winds are still howling. The gusts we're getting now may be the worst they've been all day.

Here's a power outage map for our electric supplier.

I work for a cable TV / internet provider and we definitely have some fiber down in our footprint.
