Default Nine year old designated driver

This "responsible" Dad had a designated driver. His nine year old daughter. OMG

9 year old driver

Some people are too stupid to live. I think he counts among them.

Haha! But at least he put someone sober under the wheel!

At least she wasn't on a cell phone and he waited until it was light traffic. Unlike some kids, she knew where her dad was. You are too harsh. Think about, Tiger's dad started him on golf before he was nine. No one's putting him in jail.

True about Tiger.

The only reason the traffic was light was that he had enough booze for the early evening, when he ran out, it was time to hit the road! "Come on sweetie you're driving tonight! Dad needs beer!" It did appear she was doing a pretty good job with that van.

If this Dad wants to teach his daughter to drive at a young age, perhaps they could drive a field bomber on a family farm, or drive around private parking lots? Maybe he could even be sober while teaching? I'm pretty sure my Dad was sober when teaching me to drive.

Maybe I'll give Ally the keys to my Jeep this weekend. She's 10 now and I don't want her to fall behind her peers.

I know you're kidding around, Dave.

^^

About falling behind.. like many of you I'm sure, I taught all three of my kids to drive on lonely country roads starting very early. At the beginning, before their legs were long enough, they would sit in my lap. But I wasn't on the sauce!

I think he was trying to teach her how a responsible drunk acts. Always have a "Plan B"

The report said she was sitting on a booster seat to see over the dash. She must have long legs for a 9 year old.

Maybe Dad was operating the gas/brake pedals.
