The Steelers newest fan! You try to raise your kids the right way and then they do this to the grandkids .

I am glad Steelers won but for a while in that game, no one wanted to win. I think it was one of the worst Superbowl games I;ve watched from "exciting game" perspective. Anyway, I am glad Steelers won.

Most "defensive" games are "boring". But in the NFL - boring is good - boring wins games - boring is what a #1 defensive team delivers. The Seahawks could have won that game at anytime, if they were good enough to beat the Steelers Defense.

Neither team played all that well. Sure Seattle had some penalty flags throw at the most inopportune times but they still had plenty of chances to win. Bottom line was Pittsburgh made the big plays when they needed it the most.
In some ways I agree. The offensive play from both teams was poor by Superbowl standards, IMHO. But..... the game is also about the defense. Pittsburgh has been playing "best" defense all year long. On more than one occasion, they have pulled ahead by 11 or more points and then they just grind it out on the ground to kill the clock, depending on the defense to win the day. The Seahawks could have turned that upside down, but didn't inspite of many chances to do so. The best team won - the Steeler Defensive Team

I suspect that I, like a few others here, have seen all 40 super bowl games. Yes, there have been some really great ones. Many times, in fact, most of the time, the best games are the play-offs leading up to the big one. So when it comes to super bowls I don't get caught up in all the pre-game hype; that way I am not disappointed. As far as super bowls go, I thought this one was better than average. But, then too, I am life long Steelers fan.

Even tho I am a Steeler's fan I live in Lions country and was sent this:

For all of us tired Lions fans. Hopefully, their will be a better season to look forward to next year. Until then, we have our usual antidotes....

Q. - What do you call 47 millionaires around a TV watching the Super Bowl?
A: The Detroit Lions.

Q. - What do the Detroit Lions and Billy Graham have in common?
A: They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ."

Q. - How do you keep a Detroit Lion out of your yard?
A: Put up goal posts.

Q. - Where do you go in Detroit in case of a tornado?
A: To Ford Field - they never get a touchdown there.

Q. - What do you call a Detroit Lion with a Super Bowl ring?
A: A thief.

Q. - Why doesn't Grand Rapids have a professional football team?
A: Because then Detroit would want one.

Q. - What's the difference between the Detroit Lions and a dollar bill?
A: You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Q. - How many Detroit Lions does it take to win a Super Bowl?
A: Nobody knows, and we may never find out.

Q. - What do the Detroit Lions and possums have in common?
A. Both play dead at home and get killed on the road.

Do any of you football fans watch the Pro Bowl? I may turn it on for a bit but rarely watch much of the game.

^ Not really. Half the players bail out with fake injuries. The ones who show up play at half speed, not that you can blame them. The threat of injury is too great in that sport.
