I forgot to mention Revolution. I've kind of enjoyed it, but am not sure where its going. Another sitcom I think may have potential is THE NEIGHBORS. The premiere was hilarious.

The series I usually try to make a point to watch:
"Dexter"
"Homeland"
"Newsroom"
"Shameless"
"Boardwalk Empire"
"Nurse Jackie"
"The Walking Dead"
"Hell On Wheels"

While "Dexter" is very high on my list as one of my guilty pleasures, I think "Newsroom" and "Boardwalk Empire" are two of the best shows on television these days. "Newsroom" for its writing and "Boardwalk Empire" for its cinematography, sets, costumes, and attention to detail. Both have excellent casts as well, I think.

It seems all the shows we like are on Sunday but the rest of week so far sucks.

Lainey, we are both fans of The Good Wife.

Others we like are Newsroom and Homeland. We liked Harry's Law as well - didn't realize it was cancelled.

A couple I like but +1 won't watch are Boardwalk and Hell on Wheels.

Dale, we also did a catch-up on Homeland, using Comcast, we watched all of last season by viewing two shows each night during last month.

Unfortunately Game of Thrones doesn't start it's new season until March. I've read the books but it's been a good HBO series.

Rori wouldn't watch "Boardwalk Empire" either, until she saw part of an episode. Then we had to have a BE marathon to watch the first two seasons back to back on HBO On Demand.

I actually contacted the network as to why they would cancel Harry's Law and replace with a show about a doctor and a monkey? Of course no response.

The reason that NBC gave when they cancelled it, was nothing to do with ratings, but the demographic. Apparently they felt that the age of the audience was too old, even though it provided them with pretty good ratings for the show.

One of my favorites is Sons of Anarchy, which I describe as a Shakespearean tragedy set to a backdrop of guns, drugs, porn and bikers. Amazingly well written, but like Boardwalk Empire has its share of murder and mayhem, but it all fits. I also really like Treme, and I am looking forward to the return of the Borgias

I don't get that. Around here, it's the gray hairs that I see buying new cars, eating out, remodeling their house, etc. In short, spending big instead of a couple hundred for some new tech toy.

I saw that JJ Abrams from Lost was one of the producers. I'm holding off before I commit since I still feel like Lost stole 7 years of my life, lol.
