marty I think you have the photo in a private gallery, make it public and people can click thorough to get the high res version.

either you shot the pic before your ride, you take really casual rides or you're in really good shape....

I hope it works out for you. Our last Cannon died an early death. this past Christmas, we went with the Nikon Coolpix S610. We thought it was a bit more user friendly than some of the other options. It has no view finder. I'm surprised people say they want a viewfinder. The picture never has the same borders as what you see in the view finder.

From the time I got my first 35 mm camera, and even with cheapie camers from back in the day, I got used to using the view finder. When the digitals first came out and I'd see folks holding the camera away from themselves to take a pic, it seemed really, really weird.

When I got my digital, it had a view finder, and I just prefer using it. I wouldn't buy a camera without one. Just my preference, of course.

Here's the ride -- CLICK HERE -- The picture was taken at the 4 mile point, at the top of the mountain. It was my first MTB ride of the season, so I was riding a medium pace.

If you select Elevation and Heart Rate, then you will see the ride profile, and you can mouse over the curves to get the data. Click on "play" arrow to run through the whole ride - it is entertaining.

Pro's use viewfinders. Point and shooters use lcd screens. Full coverage in a viewfinder is found in professional model DSLR cameras. Not pointy shooty thingy's

I used Garmin Connect, which replaced MotionBased.com.

http://connect.garmin.com

I really liked MotionBased better, but, heck, iGarmin Connect is free so who's to complain.

Did you also know that you can create routes at MapMyRide, then export to your P/C as a Garmin course file (*.crs). You then import the course using Garmin Training Center (the desktop application that came with your device). After that you can load the course on your Edge. Then select the course at the start of you ride, and it gives you a course and elevation plot as you are riding. No more cue sheets! It is quite accurate to tell you that you are off course as well. You can even ride against the Virtual Partner. It sounds like a PITA, but it is really pretty easy.
