NBC Sport coverage of Monaco GP
One again, mega satellite sampling issues. Wonder what the problem is, at NBC SP?

Another boring Monaco is in the books. Coverage sucked. First off, never once did I hear why Button who qualified 9th got moved to last on the grid. Secondly, they never showed the key pass for the lead by replaying the tire changes due to strategy that happened during commercials. Then for some reason the end jumped from lap 75 to 78 in blink of any eye. And finally, since I was watching a tape replay, I never heard what Kimi had to say after the race because it was on another channel. Yea, the signal breakup is sooooooo frustrating with NBC it drives me nuts, especially trying to watch NHL Playoffs.

I've been watching the Monte Carlo F1 race for a few decades now and still find that it's stupid to hold a race where the first car out of turn 1 at the start wins 98% of the time. Today, I watched the start and then turned it off. Nearly the same result. So, my 120 seconds of coverage was great.

The only way to pass, on a lot of the courses, is to be faster in the pits. There's just not enough room on many of the tracks. So, who chooses the right tires and when --- & who can change them the fastest ---wins.

Such a dull race.
Thankfully Indy was fun.
But wow between NBC & ABC the coverage for both was APPALLING.

I lost track of how many times ABC showed the Dixon wreck but it had to be near 25 times! Of course, they have always done that in the past.

with the wider cars and much more aero dependence, passing has become exceptionally difficult this year.
Monaco made it even worse. virtually all of the "passing" was made in the pits.
early pit strategy by mercedes and red bull lost two places for each.
and that was the race.
Button started from pit lane for a new power unit and MGH.

F1 has been boring for years. The races are usually a parade with maybe one or two meaningful passes per race. Heck, even NASCAR has better racing. Much more boring tracks, but at least there are passes that matter throughout the entire race. Indy was excellent.
