NASCAR vs F1
NASCAR fans got a rare treat this weekend with an actual fight in the pits! Like the good days. That should help ratings. I do like Jeff Gordon so it didn't bum me out that he apparently did get in a good lick.
According to reports the F1 race had more fans at the TX track than at the TX NASCAR's race. In the American TV ratings NASCAR won by four times the viewers. Of course in the world TV ratings it was no contest with F1 kicking butt.

The US GP was a great race throughout most of the field.

P.S. The best part about being an F1 Fan in the U.S. is not having to worry about a spoiler report in the media if one recorded the race and have not watched it yet.

I was working on my car, so I missed the live race coverage. I watched a replay last night on TV. The venue is beautiful, and the drivers like the track a lot. Traffic around the airport in Austin is a nightmare for hours before and after, though. Friends attend events there regularly; one takes the helicopter shuttle and spends a few grand attending each event. We are being allowed to run the track in December, but the two day fee is $975, and the fee for a garage in the paddock is $600.
and NASCAR sucks!
