C&D tested the Touring,with cvt,at 6.6 sec. For a o-60.
The acceleration wasn't bad, much better than Civics of the past. It's not going to win any drag races, but its not bad.

As for handling, the car isn't quite as tight as my Si was, and it's not an S2000, but it felt pretty good in my hands. Not bad for a daily driver. It's hard to compare it to my BMW as the BMW is much heavier, 3,300 lbs for the BMW vs 2,950 for the Civic. It feels lighter, but it feels solid.

You still have a few more cars to drive. I wouldn't rush into it.

Rob, isn't the Civic LX available with a 6 speed? Might not have some of the features you desire though

Hi Rob,
The Civic hatch will be available soon with the 1.5 turbo and a six speed manual.
The coupe and sedan should be getting the 6 speed as well. The 2017 Mazda 3 is worth a serious look, too.[attachment=98177:2015-Mazda3-Sedan-Photo-i03-1680.jpg]

Works for me. 2010 LX is my daily.

Have to admit, my wife's TSX has too many gadgets. We absolutely hate the "automatic" climate control. Give me a couple of knobs and some basic features and I'm much happier.

I've decided not to go with the Civic Touring, at least not for now. I do want to try some of the other cars on the list and I probably will wait to see the Civic Si. The Civic Touring has everything that I want in a size and weight that I want, except for a manual transmission.

Having thought it over this weekend, I think I probably would get bored of a car with an automatic transmission. When I drive my wife's TSX I just don't feel involved or connected to the car.
