Default my S600 - Triple H's request

per Triple-H's request, more of my S600 pics (this is all I have)

Got bored. So I bought a 1965 Honda S600 (hardtop and luggage rack included). Need to rebuild the carbs, figure out what's broken, and do a frame-off restoration. Will probably take ~3 years to restore. Enjoy!

I had hoped to get started on this sooner rather than later, but buying Ralf Schumacher's old F3 racecar didn't help.

Congratulations. Sounds like a fun project. But aren't LHD S600's pretty rare in the US?

Here's the poor cousin of your car (std 600 vs. S600), but this one is in pretty good condition....spied at a local Central PA car show last summer

That's a few years newer - 1971/1972 600 sedan. It's 2 cylinder air cooled just like the 1972 600 coupe that I had.

Looks like a project! You can commiserate with Legal Bill on the process. If you don't know him, he's restoring an Austin Healey. Nice to see you posting.

Apparently, 9K rpm car engines are nothing new to Honda. Note the redline.

I grabbed a copy of that image for memory sake. I had forgotten exactly where the red line started. No rev limiter at that time and going into the red wasn't quite the limit it seems to be now.
