My Dad


OLIVER "OLLIE" C. HORNING age 74, passed away May 31, 2008. Retired Sgt. Detective, Rocky River Police Dept. and U.S. Marshal Service. Beloved husband of the late Donna (nee Doll). Devoted father of Thomas C., David A. (Eileen) and Colleen M. Becker (William). Loving grand-father of Brian, Kate, David, Amanda and Michael. Brother of the late Phillip T., brother-in-law of Norma Horning. Korean War U.S. Navy Veteran. VISITATION FRIDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 P.M. in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. where services will be held Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice of Ohio, 2500 E. 22 St., Cleveland, OH 44115. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOSTAL FUNERAL SERVICE dostalfuneralservices.com

I am sorry about the loss of your father. I am grateful that he served our nation in Korean War. May God's peace be upon your family as you grieve.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my Dad (tragically) over 30 years ago and I still have my moments. He was 90 yesterday (Flag Day) and I fly my flag every Flag Day in honor of him. Today was tough as well (Fathers Day) but my kids/grandkids took me and my wife to brunch and it made me realize how wonderful being a father/grandfather can be.
