Muriel Siebert, first woman of Wall Street, dies at 80
Muriel Siebert, the first woman to own a seat on the New York Stock Exchange and the first woman to head a brokerage (Muriel Siebert, Inc.) died at the age of 80. A lifelong fighter for equal rights for woman, and a brilliant business woman who led the way to discount brokerages.
