Default Middle Age is.....

Middle age is when you've met so many people that every new person you meet reminds you of someone else. Ogden Nash (1902-1971) Poet

Middle Age seems to keep getting older and older.

I don't seem to see as many old people that I used to. And just where are all these young people coming from?

My 84 year old mother had recently accepted middle age status. I'll let you guys know when I personally know more about it. I'm not there yet.

I always thought it was the time between the Dark Age and the Renaissance. You know, after all of the dragons were slain but before they invented that tweedly music by Vivaldi et al. HPH

I was thinking the very same thing

IMHO Middle age is...to paraphrase Charles Dickens;
"It is the best of times...it is the worst of times."

The day our last child left home. I was about 45 I guess. My attitudes changed a lot. I took myself less serious. I became bored easily. Years of excessive exercise and sports caught up with me very suddenly. I dumped my life insurance and invested more agressively. I started planning for retirement. I became tax-paying adverse. I became an avid non-fiction reader. I evaluated my health insurance benefits. I made a reapproachment with my father. I started thinking more about Social security, medicare, and the end-game.
I'm seeing old people and their maladies and disabilities everywhere. Perhaps I need a change in geogaphy. Am I off subject?

Sounds like a good idea....that's why we took a look at Oregon this summer We liked it alot, but it's most pleasant in the summer

We may re-focus to a warmer clime for winter break.....and still spend the summer here....in central Peeay:
