I have to admit, I do like my stars.
I still remember when we moved to this site and we didn't have the starts at first.. (and people were pisssssed)

then when we did get them, initially, they were pink...(and people were pisssssed)

Pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars & green clovers! Always after me lucky charms...

Why not a POLL, Roseanne, on which heavenly symbols would be preferred by the s2ki MEMBERS? I would post this poll, but then no one would VOTE

Maybe if they lowered the fee to $10 more people would become members, before many more people that now pay $20 decide to not pay anything.
Levi
I like Ray's idea: Raise the fee and donate the excess over 20 dollars to Toys For Tots.
They raise the fee... definitely not renewing.

Why raise the fee... you can donate on your own if you want to.

Stupid idea! (in my opinion!)

Agreed! To each his/her own.

Raising fee to make a charitable donation.....I don't think so. I will donate on my own. Thank you.

Jerry, I really don't get what you are trying to accomplish.

Has anyone said the forum is in danger of going away if we (those of us without stars) don't pony up?

Maybe I should close the thread...do I have that power? (probably not as a guest) I don't want this to turn into a pi$$ing match. Roseanne close it if you want.

No good is going to come from this at this point.

Lainey, do you see the Topic Moderation drop-down below your last post? If so, you can close/delete the thread there.

BTW, if the owners weren't making money on this forum, they would either disband it, require membership, or raise the fees. (My 2¢ worth)

Regardless of type of membership, a topic starter can close his/her own posts at will.

I looked but I don't see it, Gene. Maybe it is not an option for guests. I'll let Roseanne decide if things get too hot around here.

Lainey,

Please don't close this thread. This is one of the few interesting threads to appear lately.

If you read Bill's thread about what's happening to this forum and S2KI in general, some of it has to do with the fact that there really aren't enough interesting threads being started. Threads like this could help to keep the forum strong.

I disagree with some of what's been said here, and I don't like all of the suggestions, but this discussion has given all of us something to think about and post about. Congratulations on a very good thread. If it becomes a pissing match, the Mods should remove the offensive posts.

Please don't close it.
