^Thanks Jerry! You have definately done the "homework". I checked the F plan for Louisville, it's $105/Month.

This will give you a good idea how much more it cost for supplemental plan's in different area's of the country:

http://www.mutualofomaha.com/

My SIL lives in New York City, her cost for the same plan as mine with Mutual of Omaha would be more than 3 X's ($356./Month). In Connecticut where I used to live, it would be 2X's ($218/Month)

I didn't know about this wide variation re: location, Glenn I also see that there is a male/female difference. For example, my $172 will be around $150 for Kathy! Plan "F" in Phoenix would be $110 and $130 in central PA where our cottage is located. Weird that there is such a wide span of monthly cost.

I was surprised also, that's why I posted this up. I noticed that they don't even offer a plan in California.

I just signed up with Anthem BC/BS. Their plan F is $91/month, if you pay annually, a 3% savings. Also, I can put it on my reward's card and receive another 2%. The agent did tell me that the policy is going up 7% next year.

Thanks for the research and info, everyone!

I will be making the same decisions in a few months.
