Not off to a good start. I'm down maybe a Ford Pinto this morning. The runabout edition.

After a one hour call with my advisor, I stayed in equities, but shifted the balances and funds. His bottom line is that they still expect modest gains for the year and I have enough in non-equities to weather this storm. He did not advise selling equities at this point as many see this as a buy opportunity.

Bottom line is, they do not believe the bull market is over. I'm still not sure I believe him, but because I have a couple or three years to go before retirement I can weather this one.

When I was in the market, every time there was a down turn, my broker would call me and tell me it's a buying opportunity. Unfortunately, the buying opportunities were getting better every month. When the market was going up, he'd call and tell me to add to my current positions, that was generally the sign that things were going to go South quickly.

Diversify and stay calm. Volatility is the new market direction.

Talked to our financial advisor today, Getting close to turning on the annuities. Guaranteed income for life. I'm fed up with the constant market drama. Peace of mind and no more sleepless nights.

Turnaround time?

What's the general opinion on annuities? I don't know too many fans.

They are a useful tool in the right situation, Lainey, but so long as you have your senses you don't want them.
