Our choke is nearly complete. If we win tomorrow and Red Sox lose there will be a one game playoff Monday.

Such is life as a sports fan in Cleveland. The Cavs missed the playoffs by 1 game too.

I'm still not sure that I understand how the Yankees won the Pennant if Boston and the Yanks were tied after Friday night's game, NY won the next and Boston won the final. Seems like they should be tied.

A lot of people are not clear about this. I heard it has to do with the head to head record. I think the Yankees had a better record in games against the Sox this year??? If the two ended with a tie AND tied with Cleveland, then the three way tie would have required the playoff. (Someone chime in if I am wrong.)

I don't know, it all sounds kind of contrived to me. Just to create some extra excitement.

I'd be willing to bet right now that the playoffs end up with the Yankees meeting the Red Sox for the league championship. That rivalry is good for business, I mean baseball.

Yanks vs Stros would be interesting. With Andy and Roger going against their old team.
