Astros representin'! Fewest runs allowed in the majors. Too bad the offense can be anemic at times. Even still, our defense is adequate and pitching is second to none. We have a legitimate chance of playing late into October. Oswalt can finish the season with 20 wins again this year. He was the only 20-gm winner last year and finished 3rd in the Cy Young voting. This year he could have 20 and finish 4th or worse.

And I believe the Frank Robinson and the Nationals did one helluva a job this year! :applaud: I hope the DC area continues to support them in the years to come. Kudos to the Tribe, too.

^ Wouldn't you know that now that the Nats are out of the wild card race, their offense comes alive...they won yesterday 11-1! Grrrr...but I'm not really complaining. I'm just happy to have baseball in DC.

Since no one has brought it up, will anybody have anything for the Cards? They've been hard to deal with so far.

I think Tony LaRussa is a great manager and I would be just as thrilled to see the Cardinals win the Pennant. Go Cardinals! Go Yankees! I think this year's baseball is really exciting with so many teams finishing strong and fate not determined until the final game is played. That is great for baseball.

I think the Cards would rather face any NL playoff team other than the Astros. Both teams are very familiar with one another. Both have great pitching. We have a little more speed. They have more pop. They definitely have the better coach. We owe them one.
