Houston lost another heart breaker early this morning. However, I can say that Astros have nothing to be ashamed of. Double play in the 14th inning sent shivers down people's spine. It was that incredibly cool! As much as I am a Yankees fan, I can say that these two teams were better teams to be in the World Series. They are putting on a great show for the baseball fans all over. Whether Houston loses tonight is really irrelevant from this fan's perspective. They are leaving everything out on the field. These games have been much closer than the scores indicate. What a magnificent World Series! This will go down the history as one of the best match up in my opinion.

I'm no baseball fan, don't care much for sports, but I was glad the White Sox won this year.

My first thought after the Red Sox won the Series was that I wished my father and father in law had lived to see it happen. They both died the year before.

After such a long time without a win for the White Sox, I'm sure many White Sox fans will feel that same emotion. Lots of folks in the Boston area expressed the same sentiment I felt.

For the game of baseball, I am glad Red Sox won last year and now the White Sox won this year. White Sox played well and Houston did well also. Baseball fans won this year!

Congratulations to the White Sox and the city of Chicago. To take a line from the classic movie "The Fast & the Furious:"

Dom: "It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."

The average margin of victory was 1.5 rpg. That makes for good drama. The last game was the only game that the Astros did not at least tie the game once after trailing. Both teams battled. I was infinitely impressed with the ability of the Sox to fend off pitches until they got something to smack. Again, to the ChiSox.

I do vote, however, that Joe Buck never be allowed to do another WS game. I really am tired of him.

It was a very good playoff season, and a very good world series.

The White Sox were awesome. Congrats to all their fans. Never realized how good they were.

In general, the Astros's families said the fans were "tolerant" and accomodating during their time in Chicago. As always, there are always a few bad people in general.

A man had taunted Craig Biggio's wife and others sitting with her throughout a game(think it was Gm#2). At the end of the game, he smacked her in the back of the head. The "fan" was immediately taken into custody and swept away. Craig elected not to press charges and make it into a deal. He or his wife made the statement that they did not feel it was indicative of the White Sox fans.
