I hope Oswalt pitches a game of his life tonight. What a game that will be with all the Cardinals fans going crazy down in Busch stadium. Wow! What a great time we have in baseball this year!

I haven't slept since I woke up Tuesday morning at 0730. No, it wasn't because of the series win. It would seem that the Zyrtec that they gave me for itching will not allow me to go to sleep. After the extreme emotional rollercoaster ride that I took Monday night, I was quite "matter-of-fact" in my demeanor. Of course it helps when the game only had one cause for concern.

I do feel a little sluggish right now. Btw, here at the bowling center last night, I earned a few extra dollars that I'll be collecting next week. I picked the score to be Astros 7- Cardinals 2. I was fairly close.

For the record, I hope that Clemens does not start Game 1. He is not our number one starter. If Andy is truly recovered from the line drive off the knee, he should start. Clemens is not "Clemens." I think he could grind 6 innings for us of maybe 2-run ball.

I agree with Skip. Roger Clemens is a great pitcher and will contribute but Oswalt has been simply magnificent. 1st game will set the tone. Let's enjoy the World Series beginning today!

I am encourage by remarks I have read that were made by Roger himself. He has somewhat asserted himself. This is good.

My guess on Baggy as DH? I believe he will get the nod in Gm#1's starting lineup. I don't necessarily agree with it. Lamb has been the guy against RH'ers. With Lamb as DH, you leave Berkman at first. Then you can have Burke, Taveras, and Lane in the outfield.

The way Craig and Jeff have conducted themselves for every year of their careers has made it easy to be a fan, even during the not so good years. This is why my gut tells me that Jeff might get the start tonight.

Chicago is a great team with a fun coach. I don't believe their starting pitchers will come close to duplicating their innings/gm pitched. This the WS and their will be inherently more pressure. Also, I think the DH favors the Astros if Lamb is in there versus RH'ers. I wouldn't mind seeing Bruntlett in against LH'ers if for no other reason than his speed.

I hope it's an entertaining series. The Prednizone should have the outbreak taken care of before the series is over.... hope I don't have to go back on it. Again, Astros in 6. Split in Chicago, 2 of 3 in Houston, and back to Chicago to wrap it up.

Last night's game was a heart breaker for the Astros. You've got to give credit to Contrera of Chicago. Obviously both Clemens and Contrera pitched for Yankees. I think Astros stranded too many runners. We will see if Astros can steal one tonight.

Unfortunately, Astros suffered another heart breaker last night. Andy Petite put them in a position to win but the bullpen couldn't make it happen. You've got to admit that this series has been baseball fans' dream series as the games have been extremely close. Let's see if the Astros can win 3 at home to keep the series alive.

If you like baseball, then you have to love the last two games. Both games had everything. Too bad my heart has been ripped out.

I have to question the pitch selection though. Neither time did I see Qualls and then Lidge shake off Ausmus. In Qualls case, Konerko had to be thinking, "He doesn't want to fall behind... no place to put me."
