Now that my Yanks are on vacation I'll be rooting for the White Sox, they have suffered long enough.
I don't know. I don't want 2 curses to go down in back to back years. I think they are good for the game.
Hope all is well.

News flash! All of America hates the Yankees outside of NY. Who cares about ratings? All I know is I will not have to see that sour puss of Steinbrenner fuming on TV or the mountain range known as Joe Torre's nose or Derek Jeter's pretty face, or A-Rod's pretty face, or Bernie Williams crying because he can't play anymore, or that old decrepit overpaid pitching staff you assembled. If it weren't for castoff Chacon you guys would have never even made the postseason. Your best player (Cano) works for minimum wage...the Indian way.
One more time...

Nice picture, btw.

This is why people hate the Yankees. For most teams, an "early exit" is when you know in May that there will be no playoffs in your future this year.

Nonsense. People hate the Yankees because they win so often.

How is what you said any different from what I said?
I'd like to add that "hating" the Yankees has a different beginning for different fans. Honestly, I was a Reds fan growing up, because of the hustle of the smaller players. I also liked the Yankees during the 70's. Since that time, however, I have fallen completely out of love with the AL(secretly I'll admit to rooting for the Mariners because of Ichiro ).
If I remember correctly, I began loathing the Yanks around the time that Strawberry was getting busted. And wasn't there another cokehead that wore pinstripes just before him? Now granted, I'm sure many players have used drugs, but when a team and MLB continue to turn the cheek for stars, it sends the wrong message.
But I will admit that the Yankee empire has been masterfully developed over the years. One cannot argue against the team's marketability from a merchandising standpoint.

BTW, how many games did the Indians have to take that last weekend to force a playoff?

Let's just enjoy the the best of seven series among the 4 worthy opponents. They are the best of the best this year and the managers and all the players deserve a tremendous fan enthusiasm. Baseball has never been better. Even though Tony LaRussa is a bit conceited, I like his confidence and knowlege of the game and the way he approaches each game methodically. But then, on the other hand we have Astros, Cinderella team.

It's not. The Vints just got back from a weekend getaway. Perhaps not everything made the return trip.
