Our poodle died at 17. Very hard.

Sorry for your loss, we have many cats over the years, and it's so hard to lose A true family member.

I went through this twice and then we said, "that's it. No more dogs." All our kids have dogs so we see them and that takes care of the doggie fix.

I've brought 3 to the vet. having those last painful memories somewhere other than home worked better for me.
There certainly is no right or wrong here just what works best for each individual situation.

Just got back from walking ours in the conservation area.

It would have been very stressful to both Rusty and me if I had to get her to the vet.

I would not do it any other way in the future.

Our girl is just 7 and I'm dreading "the look" already.

I've heard of Pawspice. (hospice) I just want our girl to go peacefully in "her chair".
