Default Loose Power Outlet

My power outlet in the console is loose and feels like it is going to fall out any minute. Has anyone else had this problem? Fix?

If someone else doesn't get an answer to you this afternoon, I'll check the helm manual.

In the manual they say you have to take off lots of stuff to get there. I was able after removing the console piece and loosening the glove box screws to get behind it just enough to grab the outlet and tighten it.

Otherwise if I recall it's start with the doors sills and keep removing until you get to the console.

Good luck

Carmen,

This thread shows how to do it.

And this thread from S2KCA reinforces the above.

That'll be at least one Dogfish Head 60 Min. IPA, please!

Thats an easy fix, Gene gave the link. It does help to have smaller hands though. The plastic does bite your hand some when your fiddling with the outlet. There is a nut that you have to turn to tighten it up. dont turn the socket itself as you dont want to twist your wires all around. Hold the socket and twist the nut tight.

Beer for you Gene. I just got it done and it was easy EXCEPT for the screw that was seized up in there. Took me 20 minutes to work it out of there. Other than that a piece of cake.
