The weather here is nuts. 50* today and expected to be like that for more than a week. Grass is green. Forecast for as far out as Dec 12th is 56*.

We still have the indoor tree to finish after putting on 1,100 lights but the sun is shinning outside and no coat's needed. Strange.

Much the same here in the Adirondacs, expecting temps next week in the 40's.

The snow we got a couple weeks ago was pretty bad though, I surely didn't expect the 10+ inches we got.

I'll take the warmth over the snow, we'll be cold again soon enough.

Low 50s for the next 7 days here. Started the snowblower and got it ready, I can only hope that I don't have to start it again.

All our outdoor Christmas decorations went up last weekend. Dragged the snowblower out of the shed and changed the oil.

It ain't Christmas without a sock monkey on the lawn.

Ohhhhh Dave, bless your heart. You are not living like any southerner I know if you're not wearing AT LEAST a heavy jacket in 50 degree weather. We pull out our hoodies, sweaters and heavy jackets when its THAT cold. We can always spot the tourists from up north. They're running around in tee shirts while the locals are sporting heavy jackets.

Thanks for the compliment, it's one of my better photos!

My family never learns that they need to be careful with what they wish for. "Gee, Dad, I wish we had a Christmas sock monkey on our lawn!"...

Oh and Dave, I just watched three of my neighbor ladies going out for a walk in hats, mittens and winter coats (not joining because of the back sitch ). The temperature is 51 degrees.
