I loved it! Yep, it brought back great memories even though bits were somewhat melancholy…a few of the voices and physical attributes were not as stellar as I once remembered. Time marches on.

I watched the first hour, switched to Downton Abbey pretty much right after the Paul McCartney song, then came back for the end and got sick of it in the last half hour. They came back from commercials after the Miley Cyrus rendition of Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover, ran about two minutes of a Tracy Morgan "shout out" and then went right to commercials again. That was all she wrote for me. I enjoyed seeing Dan Aykroyd re-do the Bass-O-Matic commercial.

The single funniest joke of the night, I thought was when Jerry Seinfield was taking questions. Sarah Palin (the real Sarah Palin) stands up to ask her question and Seinfield looks at her and say "Yes Tina".
Overall, I thought the show was very good. Much like the regular Saturday Night Live, it had some less than great moments, but in general, it was well worth watching. I was a little disappointed that they didn't show more of Gilda Radner, John Belushi and Laraine Newman, the three of whom I thought were the people who made the first couple of seasons great. But, overall, I really liked the show.

We were never big fans of SNL. I only watched it for a while last night. We did like a few of the characters and skits back in the day, my favorite was usually the news, but we didn't watch the show often.
