Laugh of the day
#981
On one my my college days cross country trips, I recall coming over a hill on a small valley with the highway straight, divided, shimmering in the heat of the midwest prairie. I spied a piece of tarp blowing along in the rather wide dirt strip that separated the two directional roads. As I approached I realized it was not a piece of tarp but a VW Beetle going end of end until if finally stopped . A good 10-15 seconds of rotation.
With a Beetle and especially a VW van, just like a pilot of an aircraft, you are first on the scene of a bad accident.

My dad had a bug he had resurrected but he interior roof fabric was just in shreds and falling apart.
My sister decided since she would be driving it once she got her license, it needed a new interior.
So the roof became a flower power special, I wish I had a picture of that but think something along these lines.
Of course it was an attempt to embarrass my dad. She learned Dad's don't embarrass.

Funny but not funny...
I received this urgent email today...
Couple of grammatical errors and that "Thank you for your concern" seemed like an odd phrase for such an occasion.
Then there's this. Here is the entry in my inbox:
But upon opening the email, AOL email app revealed the actual sender...
Hmmmm. hackswat009 sounds kind of fishy to me.
