Laugh of the day

Sue,
Denial is more than a river in Egypt.
I paraphrase it differently George, when do you have an appointment to address your little mini stroke?

I thought I might have had a little stroke. My family doctor said to go to Emergency and get it checked out.

There's no denial, boltonblue. What specialist doctor do you know of that will give you a same day appointment sight unseen, Sue? I called a neurologist that my chiropractor recommended and he wanted to schedule 6/23. Right! I've got an appointment message with another one and I'm waiting to hear back Tomorrow I'm either making an appointment with someone or just going to Urgent Care. I was very busy in the field all day today and didn't have much time to deal with this. Why am I even telling you all this?

Oh, and ERs do see you without an appointment.

Because of your comment above, it sounded to me as if you might already have an appointment with a neurologist soon. That was why I asked.

Because we all care and I think you care that we all care.
perhaps the imminent urgency has passed along with the opportunity to treat.
At this juncture the important part is understanding the underlying condition which triggered the first event.
High Blood pressure or Atrial fibrillation could be the cause both are treatable and can prevent the nextstroke event.

Taken off the market in the late 1960s because its active ingredient, bromide, has some nasty psychological side effects.
On a side note, Dr. Miles Medical Company, Inc. was renamed Miles Laboratories in 1935. I remember that company name. It was bought out by Bayar AG in 1979 and they retired the Miles Laboratories brand name in 1995.
