I cant stop watching this crash video of the low bridge. It is crazy how many bad drivers exist out there, it is like watching a truck can opener in action. Many are truck rentals, I hope they bought the extra insurance lol. It is amazing how many people don't concern themselves with the height of their vehicles. I can't stop laughing when I watch it.

 

Why don't they dig out the underpass? Make the road lower for the standard panel truck?

 

The bridge video is a riot. We have one or two in our town.

 

It does seem strange to me too for such a hazardous spot, they actually have a warning sign that lights up for approaching tall vehicles but few seem to heed the warning. I think the metal beam that is in place ahead of the underpass is a good bit lower than the actual underpass (margin of safety ?) It is amazing how strong that beam is as it puts up with countless impacts and doesn't move an inch. The speed of some of the vehicles is pretty high too. Pretty funny to watch as long as we aren't paying for the damage lol.
