Well, depending on one's point of view I am either off of the hook as I never really volunteered to begin with, or no one has any interest in what I have to say about defensive driving ? With that out of the way that is one of the things that I love about driving with you folks. It has been my experience that if one where to stand on the side of the road with a stop watch and time the interval between the cars on our Vintage drives (on dry pavement) they would almost always be two seconds apart.

So, can I consider myself "off of the hook on this?"

Gene,

As you have been the only one to respond. I would be happy to discuss how to change the cabin filter with you at any time that we can arrange over the weekend.

I guess that means that everyone else understands the "two second rule vs the three second rule". As well as the significance of 17' @ 60 MPH while traveling @ 88 FPS, etc. If so, I guess that I have nothing to talk about?

We know you are dying to spill it, Matt. I'd be happy to listen to you intently over bourbon.

For what it might be worth, there are FIVE 'local' breweries in the Frederick area (and another in Chambersburg), not the least of which is the (totally irreverent) "Flying Dog Brewery" where beer-making and some outrageous fun seem to go hand in hand.

Something to do if anyone finds some extra time to go 'exploring' ....
Thanks for posting! Rick might enjoy venturing out.
Printed up the info. Thanks again. Do any of these places serve dinner/lunch?

I honestly don't know, Lainey... I've had some of the beers, but I've never visited myself.

I can say that the lunch stop at the end of the drive is a pretty nice brewpub (but not a 'brewery' per se).

Thanks, Roy. I'm sure we won't go hungry or thirsty at any point over the weekend.

Kid Rock's 'Bad Ass' beer may be a collector's item. The brewery here that makes it just shut down and our MGA club was to have a meet there the same weekend as our S2000 meet. Of course, I passed on that to be with my Vintage friends. However, I mention this only because if they all shut down we could be thirsty but I think we are safe.

We are still planning on being in Hagerstown Sat AM. Sorry to miss everyone at the pizza party Fri. If anyone wants to go with us to Antietam sometime late Sat AM, PM me and we can meet up at the hotel. That would mean those who are not going on the drive, obviously. We have to get back to DC fairly early Sun AM to visit with relatives who will be here for my mother's 90th, so can't go to Antietam on Sun.
