Default Lasik Surgery

For those who don't follow me on Facebook, I had very successful Lasik surgery over the Holidays.

After wearing corrective lenses (glasses/contacts) since I was 10, I was thrilled that technology finnaly caught up with me (James Cameron can feel that!) , so I could finally become a candidate. Well, that time was this Christmas!

I had money left over in my 2018 FSA account, so I needed to split the procedure into two surgeries, so I could finish off the 2018 bucket and touch the 2019 bucket. So, December 28 and January 2 were the dates.

I'm currently 20/20 in both eyes, with no glasses/contacts. I actually just threw out my contact lenses into the trash this morning, before it went to the curb.

I'm waiting for the eyes to heal (they cut open the top layer of the onion) - that takes about 2-3 months. The close-up sharness should return before that. I'm using +1.5 readers to see my phone and the computer at work.

Here are the two seperate live streams of the procedure!!

Congrats?
I'm not sure I could do it. I'm not really afraid of anything but I get manic with things around my eyes.

Nearly everyone does. The plastic device they put inside my eyelid to slice the top layer of the onion, was the worst part, but I didn't feel a thing. The entire procedure wa less than 5 minutes.

I'm happy for your new improved vision but I'm not going to watch the surgery.

Years ago I went to the Cleveland Clinic to have it done and was told that my corneas were too thin. I never went back and now I'm too old and cheap to consider it.

This description made my stomach turn...no thanks. I'd be to squeamish to volunteer for eye surgery. Thankfully, I only need readers so it is not an issue.
