Kerkorian invests in Ford
Kirkorian has bought a large stake in Ford, telling the media that he beleives that Ford ahs the right managment team, the right business plan, and is well on its way to a turn around. He is not even asking to be put on the board. As 40% of Ford is family owned, Kirkorian cannot get control of the company like he tried with Chrysler.
In related news, Ford announced a $100M first quarter profit as compared with over $1.5 B in losses over the past two years.
So, do you think Ford has turned the corner?

No it hasn't turned the corner and it's proved by Dr. Kovorkians investment. He only invests in things he can finally put to rest. Permanently. I'd sell the shares short.

Gee did I kill the thread? I was only kidding.
Have you read Kovorkians new book? It's called "I'm okay, you're DOA".

Actually, I have hope for Ford. The F150 has been the, or close to the, best-selling vehicle in America. While a niche market, the Mustang is definitely a hit. The Fusion is, IMHO, a good-looking vehicle. The materials in the interior of the Fusion are a bit cheap, but overall the car should appeal to the average American.
Unfortunately, I don't know anyone under 30 who would consider an American car, except for niche cars like the Corvette or Viper.

I think you confused what is already a vague issue. Now people don't know if this about Dr Death or somebody else.

You don't usually bring up vague issues, LB. What happened? I wonder if Kerkorian and Kevorkian have ever met? As for Ford, I have no idea what will happen. Kerkorian is a shrewd businessman, so he's got something up his sleeve.

It has traded within a narrow range and at a low price and with a minor dividend for about 3 years. I'm just hoping to get my money back on a minor investment. Then, I will definitely sell the stock.
