I usually don't pay any attention to the price of fuels but I did yesterday. Paid $4 yesterday for regular. Diesel was the exact same price.

Rough rule of thumb - 40 with diesel is about the same as 33 with regular gas. I have a buddy that gets 45 or so with his Jetta wagon and he drives REALLY fast. I believe the Jetta diesels are made in Germany versus Mexico for the rest of the Jetta line.

I like that wagon, but I have had bad experiences with VW (86 Jettta - yeah long time ago) and Audi (first a6 - bought used -car from hell) that might me twitch as I enter a VW dealer. But, diesel is definitely enticing.

At least it's a real car. The Prius is not.

I presume that ratio is based on price but the last time I looked locally the price of each was identical (last week).
