John Stewart dies at 68. Leader of Kingston Trio
John Stewart, leader of the 1960s folk group "The Kingston Trio" and later on a soloist and songwriter died at the age of 68.
Among his songs "Daydream Believer" went on to become the anthem of the Vintage S2000 Owners Group.
John Stewart rest in peace.

How sad. I don't think I ever missed an occasion when John Stewart played the Birchmere in Virginia, or the Rams Head in Annapolis. His music was more truly 'Americana' than anything else I heard over the last 40 years. His songs are like snapshots of who we are, where we've been, and why that is important. The words of John's songs are very much worth the time it takes to listen to them.
This was written by John Stewart when he was hurting over the death of his friend Robert Kennedy.... appropriate then because there was no-one who could replace Kennedy.... and appropriate today because there really is no-one to fill the void left by the loss of his musical creativity:
"...truly as the sun, truly as the rain, truly I believe that it was the last campaign..."
Rest well, John.
