The 'jensen' thread...
As we computer users know, curiosity can do more than kill cats. Yet we can't help ourselves.
My full system scan of that thread by the banned 'jensen' (which thread has now thankfully disappeared) found a trojan virus in an unusual place (something AntiVir identified as "SPR/HookDLL.A" buried in an otherwise innocent executable). This wasn't there on my previous scan, so I know it didn't come with the executable; on the other hand, that previous scan was some time ago and I have no direct evidence that it came from that theater link.
Still, I'd suggest unabridged scans on computers that visited that link (Emil, I remember you did, but I've forgotten who else did).
And let that be a lesson to all of us curious geezers! But will we reform? Ha! HPH

I was busy with the grandkids earlier, but dumped the thread when I got online and saw the comments.
Folks, feel free to send PMs to me or Legal Bill when things like that surface. We can dump it right away if it's called to our attention.

^^ It puzzles me that I was able to find the other instances of that thread on the other forums. It's as if you were the first to take action, Lainey (although someone had hit the "banned" button at that point). HPH

I guess someone figured out his game quickly enough if he was banned.

It took our systems guys a couple of days to clean it all up, and by then there were dozens of Macs infected.
One nice thing about Windows systems is that they're big business, and all sorts of user-friendly tools exist so you can do it yourself. HPH

My Norton Anti-virus is working right now, scanning. I hope it finds it if there's a virus.

Probably a good idea for you to have an full automatic scan running once a week. Maybe I misunderstood your post and you already have that. Mine executes every Sat morning (McAfee).
